Confused on which version... (1 Viewer)

I had to reinstall everything on my computer a few months ago... getting my media computer up and running.

I thought I had installed the latest version of MP. But after installing StreamedMP, because I wanted a decent skin for Moving Pictures, I realized something was not right. Things in the menus were not showing up, etc.

I realized that I most likely was on the wrong version of MP. I found StreamedMP's main web site and it states that you have to be on RC3 or higher. After reviewing the download page, I got really confused and I am not all clear as to what is the RC3 version.

HELP!!!

When I run MP's configuration, it states ver 1.0.2.0... Is this RC3? If not, which is the RC3? Can I simply update to RC3?

Any help would be appreciated!

The version of 1.0.2 linked from the main MediaPortal page is 1.0.2 FINAL. This is higher than RC3 which StreamedMP is looking for.

As for upgrading, I've never been too happy about that and just do a fresh install whenever I update. This goes for most software unless the author has a proper update/patch mechanism.
