Hey! Excuse me if this is not the correct place to ask...

Im currently setting up my first "HTPC" project with the new TVserver and Client Mediaportal solution. But, what is the preferred way to connect the client PC to the TV? I have an 37 plasma Tv, with the usual connections. VGA, SVHS, Component and Scart.

Im currently using my regular VGA out on the PC to the VGA in on the TV. Is this the best way? Any big differences between graphic cards? This is just an ordinary HP D530 SFF machine with graphics integrated on the mainboard. Im considering buying a separate card but dont know if this is necessary.

Anyone know something about this??

In general integrated graphics boards on the mainboard are not that good.
I suggest you buy a seperate card for it. I myself use an nvidia 6200
offcourse the 7xxx and 8xxx series are much better, but i like a silent htpc and 6200 is fanless
But if you want to view HDTV, then you probably need a 7xxx or 8xxx series

Ok. Then i'll order that card.. :) But in the spec for this card, what does this mean:

    "Integrated TV Encoder
Provides best-of-class TV-out functionality for resolutions up to 1024x768"

What is "TV-out" functionality and which interface must be used for this?

I have an Asus A8N-VM CSM with NVIDIA GeForce 6150 GPU onboard and use DVI connection to my LCDTV.

Will I get better TV/video quality if I add an NVDIA Geforce 6200 ?
