I am experiencing continous glitches (short stutter) in LiveTV. It happens both with SD as well as HD channels. In many cases after a few of these glitches, both client and server hangs and the only solution i have is that of rebootin both.

Can anybody help out based on the info in the logs?

Thx

P.S. i red in the guidelines that starting a new thread automatically includes my configuration to the post, but that's not the case... how can i manually add it without having to type everything again?

Well, a couple of us saw stutter disappear when using "performance" power plan instead of balanced in windows power options.

Also, you can put your system specs in your profile. https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/profile.php?do=systemspecs

Configuration is actually already in my profile, and was before i posted the message above, it's just not automatically added to the post, as it should have had been according to the info in the guidelines.

Anyway, thanks for the hint, i'll give it a try tonight.

Yep fill in my system, and do not forget to enable it in usercp (top left of page), makes it a lot easier to help you.

Tried the "performances" trick, but did not help...

Anybody who had taken a look at the logs and could give me a hint on what could be wrong?

    Thank you in advance.

I can only see from logs that your broadcast timings less then real time thats why you have glitches ( MP pauses to fulfill buffer)
I have same problems with some channels of my TV provider too, but its not lead to hang

Any idea what this could be related to and eventually how to improve the situation?

You are not by any chance using ReClock are you?

    • Do you have glitches in recorded TV?
    • Do you have glitches in live TV if you pause for some time (say 30sec to 1min) and then unpause? (do not skip to end of buffer)
    • If the answer to the previous question is no, do the glitches return after some time? after how long?
Also since this is a multiseat setup, we need both server and client logs.

I also have very short stutters now, just a bit of stutter for 1 or 2 seconds and then the normal playback is back. It occurs about 1 or 2 times a minute.
Pausing has no effect on this, just like rewinding for a bit.
It's also random: if it occurs and you rewind say 5 seconds, the stutter is gone... only to occur at other times.
Fast moving frames or not also has no effect on this.
Didn't have this before, but I don't know if it sneaked in in RC2, RC3 or RC4.

Quite annoying when you're watching WC soccer in blazing-sharp FullHD with your friends...and you have little stutters as an MP-bonus :(

I am sorry, but i had no chance yet of testing what you pointed out above.

Anyway hereby is the TSWriter.log from TVServer. I hope this might already give some indications on what's wrong here. I'll test the above a.s.a.p. during the week-end.

    Thanks for the support!
