I'm using an Acer Aspire Revo 3610 (Atom 330, ION, 2GB RAM) as my HTPC and I'm trying to set up my remote (X10 RF MCE remote, model OR22V).
I'm using MPC-HC as my external player, because playback with MP internal player is slow and choppy, no matter what drivers I use (as if DXVA wasn't working properly). I have it set up so that MPC-HC starts in fullscreen and closes at end of playback.
What I want to do is have the remote control MP, but when I start playing a movie, control should switch to MPC-HC exclusively, so that I don't accidentally do stuff in MP. After playback MP regains focus and so the remote should return to MP.
Is it possible?
I managed to set it up so that the remote works in both apps, but I'm not sure if I have exclusive control (ie. when MP is in the background it doesn't react to the remote).
