CoreAVC 1.6.5.0 problems with Media Portal (1 Viewer)

Hi, please, please help.

I'm using the latest version of CoreAVC and it works great in Media Player 11. It plays every .264 file I have no problems. However only 50% play in Media Portal. Some simply won't launch.

As I say in Media Player they're all fine using this codec so there's something in Media Portal stoping the odd few from opening and I have no idea why. FFDShow works fine on all, but I want to use CoreAVC and be confident all mkv files open.

Anyone else had this or know a fix?

Thanks

Yippee!! I've sorted it. Needed to install VSFilter and set autoload VSFilter in the media splitter settings.

Looking at other posts this problem occured only in the latest version of Media Portal.

MP guys, how come you hit us with this in the latest release? Any fixes planned to put it back the way it was? I'm not having a go though, apart from this MP is absolutely superb!!!

OMG...thank you thank you thank you. You've just saved me a load of headache!!!

I was having the same problem, but only about 10% of my files weren't playing.

Were you watching 720/1080p x264 mkv's?

Happy to help my friend. It's nice to give some thing back to a forum rather than take take take all the time! :))

The problem wasn't so much the resolution, more subtitles. For some reason this was causing Media Portal problems starting up the file. VS filter sorts this.

I've now tried every format and every audio stream and everything now opens perfectly.

The difference between my two posts ie; over 3 hours was how long it took to solve this frickin problem!! :))
