Hi eveyone,

I am using Media Portal 0.2.2 and almost everything works perfeclty well. I can play music fine when I first start Media Portal (using BASS and SPDIF out). But If I watch TV or play a DVD first and then try to listen to music afterwards, the sound is corrupt. Music will still play, but the sound is then accompanied with a high pitch 'zzzzzzz' sound on every beat and note... It's as if the PCM sound stream becomes corrupt after playing AC3 or mpeg2 sound streams....

This behaviour is consistent for audio CD or MP3/4 playback. I need to shutdown and restart MP to fix the sound issue.

What could be the problem?

Thanks.

Not fixed afterall

Hi hwahrmann,

I thought this issue was closed, but unfortunately I discovered that the corrupt sound still persists under this scenario (svn build from 03-13-07):

I turned timeshift off in MyTV, which now stops TV automatically when switching back to the home screen. If I then go and play some music, the corrupt sound is back. It appears to work fine if timeshift is turned on, as TV will keep playing in the background when switching back to Home and then into Music.

Also I noticed that if I watch TV first, then play music and come back to watch TV again later, the TV button still shows "on" when the TV is off. If I click on it, the TV will turn on, but when I come back to play some music later, the selections don't work anymore in My Music. IE, If I select a song and play it, nothing happens.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems?
