I recently moved all my movies and tv shows to a freenas server and made it shareable via samba. This has worked fine for multiple machines...including android tv sticks using plex however my main win 7 htpc when running mediaportal and trying to import the filenames to mp-tvseries, moving pictures or videos has 2 corrupted duplicates for each correct file. For example if the file is 1984.mkv I will also have one show up as A1001984.mkv and another that says default1982.mkv. These all appear to point to the same file and this only occurs within mediaportal....win 7 displays the files fine...I've tried both mounting via network and mounting to a drive letter and adding that drive letter in configuration under video folders in mediaportal and the tv/movie plugins. I am on an older release (1.10) and will be upgrading to see if the issue resolves but I'm doubtful thats going to be the magic bullet.

If I can't find a solution I will reluctantly put the main htpc on plex or try Kodi to see if the problem occurs there.

As TVSeries, MovingPictures and Videos all are separate, then they individually are not the issue - not that that helps, sorry:sick:

We [I say we, I really mean the much smarter people who haunt the forum (y) really do need logs for this one, I would suspect it's either some softlinks on the freenas side OR metadata associated with files that is being read, but that is VERY much a top of head guess.

Can you clear all logs, set MePo logging to debug and then do import using all 3 affected elements, then run MePo under watch dog to create log set and post as well as full populating your system specs.

    Cheers - JCMP.
