I see that there is an older post in the plug-in forum about this that gets bumped now and then without anything really happening so I tought I'd try in here.

There are mostly norwegians that are posting in the thread, but yr.no is a great source for weather for the entire world:

As an example here is the weather for Maun in Botswana:

And the weather info is easily available in XML, PHP and GRIB.
