My satelite reciver can tell me if there is enough recording-space left on the harddrive, if i schedule a recording......
I would like to see the same feature on MP if possible.....
The estimate should ofcource be made from the following variables:
1. length of the scheduled recordings (all together or something like that)
2. the compression used, to record.... (how mutch space do xx minutes require)
3. the free space left on the harddrive.
These 3 things could together create a "warning" that there is not enough space to record eg. these 5 shows at the end of this week, or something like that...
Also a warning on instant recording, and no space on the harddrive would be nice....
And if possible, then an alternative recording path, so that MP could say:
"There is not enough space on the standard drive to record xxyy, would you like to record the show on the alternative drive ??"
(ofcource this is only if people have more than one harddrive, but i think that many of us have more than one anyway...)
These things would be really great to have in MediaPortal.....

At last i would really like a "real" OTR button, that i can push once to record a ½ hour, and push 2 times for 1 hour recording and so on.....
