I have an ATI AIW x800xl card. Will it work with the Mediaportal software? Also does Media portal have a feature that would let me still do things like surf the web while the video runs overtop it. The video is see-through so I can still see behind it. Or do they have something like it. Also since I live in Canada, will it still have the weather? Or is it like only the US. Looking at the screenshots it looks very nice, can't believe I was thinking of spending $130 on XP media center. Thanks

Yes

As this is not on the supported card list it would have to be added, look at documentation, tv cards, adding.

No, not if you mean in a small window, opaque or not, allowing you to see desktop or other applications. It will run windowed or in the systray fine though.

It also has the ability to run TV\Video in background of menu items (opaque), so if you do not like your view of what your watching to be interrupted to much.
