Crash by scanning/opening a music folder! (1 Viewer)

    Hi Helmut!

    If i try to open my opera folder (336 subfolders) MPtagThat unfortunately crashes with "System.OutOfMemoryException"! Opening every folder separatly is working fine!

    Infos are attached!

    Yes, looks like you really hit some boundary here.
    I need to do some profiling, to see were the memory is consumed.

    In the meantime i can't offer you a solution.

    BTW, the issue does not occur with ver. 1.1.3xx! Maybe this would help to fix the issue!

    Really? strange, cause i didn't change something in this area.

    Yes, MPTagThat 1.1.3xx doesn't crash, although the same errors you will find in the logfile!

    THen it is better that it crashed, because it was not delivering consistent results.
    And this needs to be fixed.

    I fixed now the crash.
    However the out of memory can occur at any tome anywhere in the programn, so i only can inform the user that there's no memory and terminate the app.
    I was able to scan 15k files, before it happened to me.

    i think there is no practical use for it anyhow.

    An option would be to stop after e.g. 7000 files and show what we have found so far.
