My bedroom htpc is plagued with problems since the time I upgraded to TVE3, TVE2 works like a rock.
Today I'm posting 2 of the most irritating errors.
When changing channels the following occurs:
Between 2 regular mpeg2 channels:
When zapping fast mp either hangs with a black screen, only a reboot will solve the situation, or most of the time after like 10 sec mp recovers, still won't show teh channel but I can bring up the channel menu and pick another one.
Between 2 HD channels:
Sometimes just a black screen without sound, but no crash.
Sometimes a complete crash of MP.
Sometimes a hang which only a reboot will solve.
One of these problems is almost sure to happen on changing between 2 hd channels.
Between a mpeg2 and x264 HD channels:
Almost always a complete hang, only a reboot will solve it.
Sometimes a crash.
Most of the times this works pretty well, works more often than switching between 2 HD channels.
