Specs above using FTR 1.5.3 as my TV and all was working fine. Reinstalled on Saturday and now, everytime I change the channel, MP drops back to the desktop. Restarts fine, go back into TV guide and select channel works fine, until I want to change channel again.

Thing that's confusing me is I haven't changed any of the software that was working fine before.

Have tried different codecs and whether I'm using SAF or the default MPC Gabest or MS DTV, result is the same.

Logs enclosed and hardware as above.

I think the problem is with these bits of the log:

2010-11-14 21:11:09.618349 [ERROR][MPMain(1)]: MediaPortal stopped due to an exception Could not load file or assembly 'TvLibrary.Interfaces, Version=1.1.1.11892, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. It's in the log.bak file.

Wondered if anyone could give me some advice on where to start looking here, either MP or FTR.

    Thanks for any help guys

    Figured it out!

Spent all of last night and three hours today trying to work it out and finally an hour after I post asking for help!

My last install of FTR was version 1.5.2 and I updated it to 1.5.3

This time I did a clean install. It appears, although I need to confirm with the author of FTR, that the TvLibrary.Interfaces.dll file isn't installed with FTR 1.5.3.

Managed to get a copy from the post here

All working well now! Hope that may help someone else.

    Sorry for wasting bandwidth!!

    :sorry:

As an aside I'd recommend For The Record to anyone, phenomenally good TV server to replace the MP one.

I agree, Argus (FTR) TV server appears more stable than the MP one. However, RTSP streaming is not yet supported by Argus but they are working on it.
