Synopsis::

At the region selection screen, I choose | Australia>Sydney>NSW>Eastern Suburbs and get to see the channels listed for about half a second - then it crashes.

My Debugger pretty much says the same thing in the Logfile.

    Hi,
    Can you upload your logs to MediaPortal Pastebin & link back here.
    You can also skip all configuration in the first time wizard (next -> next, etc) & then open MP Setup to configure later.

    Regards
    Roy

    Have you tried running MP Setup and then run Autotune from there (as ronilse suggested)? Go to Television / Capture Cards / Edit / Autotune .....

    ************** JIT Debugging **************
    To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
    application or computer (machine.config) must have the
    jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
    The application must also be compiled with debugging
    enabled.

    For example:

    <configuration>
        <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
    </configuration>

    When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
    will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
    rather than be handled by this dialog box.

    I googled the error number you have in your MediaPortal.log file (80040154) and it suggests that there is a problem with a codec. I notice that you have WMP version 11 (which is only beta?) installed?

    Is this the first time you have installed and tried to configure MediaPortal (I notice you have been registered here since 2005)?

    Suggest you un-install WMP 11 and install WMP 10

    Also, try initially with just the MP default codecs (MPA and MPV)

    If you still have no success, then you might have to un-install MediaPortal, delete the remaining MP folders and do a completely fresh install.....:(

    Will give it a go tomorrow.

    Been with MP for a while now. and probably is the WMP 11 screwing with it.

    Cheers for the advice.
