createdOn field in the database (1 Viewer)

i'd like to see a createdOn field in the database for music and videos. This would allow us to make nice views like Latest.

I love my movies being in the database, but it makes it complicated to find the recently added ones. With this feature we could make a rule that says, show all movies that were added in the last 3 weeks.

I like the idea too! It would allow us to create views like WMP's Recently Added but would be nice to where a user would configure the interval...30days, 6 months, 1 year...

yah, configurablility would be key....

Its just that i use MP mainly as a mediacenter. I dont use it for tv recording. I have over 300 movies on a central server, and when i add one, its a bit hard to figure out what is new. Sure i rip them and know which are new, but my wife doesn't.

It'd just be nice to aggregate it all together somewhere.

and if changing the db structure isn't possible
maybe use the timestamps on the file itself
