I know that in a previous post i said that this was not needed as it should/could be done with ffdshow. I must admit that after doing some more research on the subject I now disagree with myself. The main reason for this is that ffdshow makes use of dxva impossible. With the latest generation of graphics cards, hardware de-interlacing and picture processing is getting really good, in many cases picture quality of interlaced video is superior to what ffdshow de-interlacing can do and it is far less cpu demanding. I have been having problems with underscan in MyTV that I until know thought was specific to my Theatre 550 card, but after trying several other tv cards for the last few days I have found that the problem is also with other cards. There is already a general video calibration feature in Mediaportal that lets you do some adjustment to the picture. However, this feature only allows for underscan and positioning and it also applies to all video sources, not only to TV. For me and most others experiencing the same problem, this applies to myTV only. I love Mediaportal and I think it is the best HTPC software ever made, I respect the developers for their hard work on this project and for doing this in their spare time only. Since I also don't have any experience in developing this kind of software, I don't if this is easily doable or impossible. However, if I was to request only one new feature in Mediaportal, this would be it. Maybe any of the developers can answer to this? - Judaz
