Custom titles doesn't work for some movies (1 Viewer)

I have some titles that doesn't get custom titles according to my xml file.

First movie is Jägarna( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0116736/ ) second is Änglagård( http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105916/ ).

Both movies get the English title which is the default setting in IMDb+. My custom xml gets ignored on these titles it seems. I have several other titles that get the correct titles according to my Custom xml file.

Here is the Moving pictures log when I send the two titles to the importer again.

@Hogan77, at the top of the custom XML file there is a link to ensure/test your XML file does not contain XML syntax errors. If those exists the file is ignored and all custom rename entries are not made.

Can you verify first if that is the case? To debug those type of issues you either have to exclude a lot of things manually or provide me with a scraper-debug enabled log file that is super large and shows each step of what the IMDb+ script goes through. The custom rename XML step is done at the very end and overrules everything else, so something is stopping it and need to figure out what.

Test first if your file still passes XML syntax checks and if that fails, you will have to provide me scraper-debug enabled log files.

Keep in mind that this causes like 1MB of logs *PER* movie, so only test clean on a single movie, or I will not be able to make much sense out of it due to the asynchrone nature of things.

Thankfully you added your syntax before and that is the reason. Regular expression is looking for <rename id="..." title="..." collection="..." sortby=".."> and you flipped the last two values causing it to fail finding a match.

Need to define that better I guess.

Swap them and see if that works.

Is the foreign tag between title and collection?

There is no need for foreign on custom XML system, because the title="..." is the final end-result, so a user who wants to list tiles as "English (Foreign)" or the otherway around can just do so as-is inside the title. That is actually when syntax started deviating from the default rename XML file, when the optional foreign title support for the default system was added. I just did not want to force users with extensive custom XMLs to re-edit their files when there was not really a need for it.

So to be sure, the following is the only syntax supported for the custom rename XML:

<rename id="..." title="..." collection="..." sortby="..." />

• id = required
• title = optional
• collection = optional
• sortby = optional

Thankfully regular expressions allow me to make items optional, but it does not support flexibile locations with the knowledge I have. That is why your custom rename XML entries were all skipped as they failed to find a match.
