that doesn't work.
i have a 4:3 source format video, but the video is just 16:9 so that there are black borders on the top and bottom. I want to watch it on a 4:3 monitor with clean black borders that are not full of pixel blocks or perhaps the tv channel logo.
vlc has a function to remove them and it would be nice if media portal could do the same.

I wish I knew what to fix, I have no problems with playback, although I have been on 1.38 x64 Win 11 25H2 from the very beginning.

I just updated from 1.37 to 1.38. MediaPortal 1.38 exits abruptly when stopping video playback. I did three tests;

Some videos break the aspect ratio of the output resolution to TV (even the MePo GUI changes aspect ratio)

I had to set it to "Maintain display scaling". I think it was set to "Maintain Aspect Ratio", which added black bars to MediaPortal when playing videos that didn't conform to a strict 16:9 ratio, I suppose.
