Codecs Cyberlink H.264 codec (1 Viewer)

I used to use the Cyberlink codec from PowerDVD which was bundled with the BD drive (7.3)
After the last update (necessary for playing a BD) the codec is not available any more for watching TV. It is still available in the DirectShow Filter Control but not in the TV section.

Hi,

I think that Cyberlink blocking other programs to use the codec.

Workaround:

Deinstall PowerDVD
Install PowerDVD from CD
Install Update (see Link)
Dont Update in the Future

Thanks Wadu, just installed the update (without de-installation) and now both BDs are working in PowerDVD and the codec can also be used in MediaPortal.

Does anyone know what the latest build of PDVD9/8 is to support external players such as MP?

not sure, but the ones included in HD pack work with external apps

CyberLink H.264 Decoder (PDVD8) v2.4.0.1426 [16.04.2009]

When i was using pdvd8 i installed CyberLink.2217aU_TaRe38_DVD081201-06.exe and it still worked, i think the changes happened soon after that update.
