Anyone used this remote: Cyberlink Media Center Remote Control - With Mini USB IR Receiver - Ebuyer ?

Very cheap but comes with no Cyberlink/OEM drivers, installs with standard (XP) HID drivers as multiple HID devices (devices viewed by connection):
  • USB Composite Device
    • USB Human Interface Device
      • HID Keyboard Device
    • USB Human Interface Device
      • HID-compliant consumer control device
      • HID-compliant device
      • HID-compliant device
      • HID-compliant mouse

It has plenty of the right kind of buttons most of which work as expected with MCE 2005. However I've only been able to get it working as General HID Remote with MP (ie: the standard alphanumeric, arrows and Media/APPCOMMAND buttons work with MP), but none of the extended keys that work with MCE work with MP (Live TV, EPG, Subtitle, Last CH, etc etc).

Anyone else had any better results getting the rest of the buttons working?

A.

MediaPortal Version: 1.0.0.0 RC1
Windows Version: XP SP3/MCE 2005
Remote: Cyberlink

I use it, I don't really use all those things so don't have a problem. Trying to get the info button mapped to the F3 key. No idea how to do that.

I use the same Remote and it´s fully working with this
The Remote came along with my TV-Card, but I´m going to sell it along with the card and get a mce or x10 Remote which are supportet natively -> So no Resource hog like Girder or Autohotkey.

P.s. you have to move the GeneralHID.xml To the Mediaportal userfiles/Inputdevicemappings folder now (maybe allso to the old directory as described in the tutorial)
