d3dapp DeviceLostException: Black Screen on resume from StandBy (S3) (1 Viewer)

Hi all,
when my machine resumes from Standby (S3) , the screen is black and the log shows a endless loop with this entry:

repeating endless, UNTIL I press a button on the remote. Then the MP screen reappears and MP is fully functional.

Then also the MP- logs shows the full re-initialisation sequence:

On resume rom Hibernate(S4), this problem does not exist.
So the restart init- sequence at S3 is obviously different than that on S4, right ?

Anybody have an idea, where to start to search ? At the VGA driver ?

Currently using latest Omega- Drivers against an ATI 9800 XXL(Pro). Catalyst had problems showing picture slide shows, resulting in a white, transparent screen.
