Hi,
I have seen a number of posts about brightness/contrast/color space issues when watching movies. i have a similar issue when NOT watching movies, but when navigating around the menus etc.. The display seems gray instead of black and pretty washed out, BUT when i start a movie i see the mediaportal menu screen darken (like the gamma has been changed), the movies start and look awesome (yay!)
I'd like to fix this but worry that changing the global display settings in windows 7 (e.g. calibrating screen to be darker) would have a negative impact when watching movies. Are there settings i can change which wont effect the brightness/contrast/gamma while watching movies. i wonder whether this is a color space issue...
