MediaPortal Version: V1.1 Alpha
Windows Version: Vista SP1
CPU Type: Core 2 Duo E6700

Motherboard: GA-73PVM-S2H
Video Card: nForce 610i
Video Card Driver: Latest
1. TV Card: AverTV Volar Black HD
1. TV Card Type: DVB-T
MPEG2 Video Codec: MPC (Gabset)
h.264 Video Codec: CoreAVC
TV - HTPC Connection: RGB
I have recently installed MP to watch live TV using H.264 DVB-T stream. For some reason I always see interlaced picture artifacts no matter what codec (CoreAVC, FFDShow) or deinterlace method (Bob, etc...) I use.
I see no interlaced artifact when I use other players (VLC or AverTV)
I once changed the MPEG-2 decoder deinterlace method to Bob and it seemed to solve the problem for a few minutes only but I couldn't reproduce it since. I am not sure why it worked since the DVB-T stream is encoded with H. 264. When I look at GraphEdit I see that the MPEG-2 decoder is open but not connected to any other filter (Maybe the tsreader is using somehow the MPEG-2 decoder for the MPEG-2 transport stream?)
This is what I tried:
1. Changing codecs and deinterlace methods.
2. Updating my nVidia driver.
3. Changing rendering mode (EVR/VMR9).
All suggestions are welcome!
