I use a STB (IP TV) conected to my s-video on PVR-350. Channel changing is done with blaster using and-81's EXELLENT MCE replacement-plugin.

However, blasting and channelchanging does take a couple of seconds - no big deal, but MP immidiatly gives me a black screen (probably du to channel-change - even if all channels are captured thruogh same source <- is this necessary?).

    Result:
[Channel 1] --> Ch. change --> [Black screen - due to MP(?)] --> [Channel 1] --> [Black screen (due to STB)] --> [Channel 2].

Could there be an option for delaying channel change (so that blaster and STB can finnish)?

And: Does MP need to "black screen" when same capture source is used (here; s-video@350).

    Hopes this makes sence.

    Thanks!

I found that this is only a problem when time-shift is on…therefore I only use time-shift when I record or pause TV. But I do agree with you it would be a nice feature if it is not already available.

Okay, don't know if this has something to do with the fact that the timeshinf buffer needing to be reseted everytime you change the channel.

This way MP prevents you ask to go back on the timeshift buffer and start seeing thigs before the channel change.

Just my 2 cents. Think this is by design. :)

Yes, but a optional delay would be nice (MP giving "black screen" when it is black anyway).

EDIT: I-loop, thx for new nick... makes things less complicated
