Message: <blockquote data-quote="RobNCD" data-source="post: 766229" data-attributes="member: 114005">I purchased a Dell HTPC the other day and set about getting things working.  I soon found out that the Remote had limited functions, so I thought I would pass along my solutions.  First to use this remote you need to goto MediaPortal configuration then to Remote, then activate General HID, then save.That will get the remote working but I wanted an easy way to go in and out of MedaPortal by using the Green  WMC button so here is what I did.I went into the MediaCenter directory (C:\Windows\ehome) and renamed the ehshell.exe and ehshell.exe.config files and then copied my ehshell.exe in its place.Now Clicking on the Green WMC button on the remote will open MediaPortal.Now I wanted a way to enter XBMC by using a button on the remote.  My computer has a Program called FusionMedia.  Since that is programed out of the box to open when the Home key is pressed on the remote, I decided to change that to open XBMC.  To do that Goto the Fusion Media Center Directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\AMD\Fusion Media Explorer\) and rename FusionMedia.exe and FusionMedia.exe.config and then copy my FusionMedia.exe file in its place.Now Clicking the Home button on the remote will Close MediaPortal if open and will open XBMC.Now that should have been enough but I also wanted to get into my HuluDesktop.  So I made a directory called HTPC and put my HuluDesktop.exe into it.  I then used MP-multishortcuts to add a shortcut under plugins in MediaPortal to call my HuluDesktop.exe. When called it will check to see if MediaPortal or XBMC is running and if they are then close them and open HuluDesktop.  By pressing the Green Button on the remote HuluDesktop closes and opens MediaPortal, or By pressing the Home button on the remote HuluDesktop closes and XBMC opens.I also included a copy of all my files in the HTPC directory.  You can call each one in any way you would like.Each file checks to see if MediaPortal, XBMC, or HuluDesktop is actively running and if it is will close the appropriate programs and launch the program you want.This works on Win7 but should work in Vista also.This made using my HTPC from Dell and my Dell Wesena Philips RC260 Remote Control work flawlessly and gave me HIGH points with the family!Hope it can help others.  <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin    :D" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":D" /> <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin    :D" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":D" /> <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite8" alt=":D" title="Big Grin    :D" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":D" /></blockquote>
