Hello.
I have been trying to install the TVServer (tvengine3-01-12-2007--20-12h--Rev12612.zip). But it fails when it tries to start the service. So I went into the Windows Services control panel to try to start it manually. It throws an error that says this:

Could not start the TVService on Local Computer. Error 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion.

Is there a list of dependent Windows services that the TVService needs?

Thanks

Freddy Rose

Hi Garry.
I tried that, but it says there are no dependcies. That's why it is confusing.
Thanks

I had the same problem and after a long search I discovered that it depend from "RPC Locator". This service is automatically installed with the "Client for microsoft network" under the properties of your network card.

Thank you very much!

This helped me as well and should be documented I think.
Are dependencies calculated or are they added by the creator of the service?

If they are added by the service creator it might be a good idea to do that.
