When trying updating from latest SVN to RC3 (uninstalled server & client first) this error shows right after I click "Next" in the window where the "configure windows firewall to allow...":

    Anyone had the same error?

PS: unchecking the checkbox allows me to continue the install procedure.

Yes, excactly :) At work, I have disabled Windows Firewall since we are on a closed LAN behind a company-firewall and are using third-party software as antivirus/firewall.

At home I had no problem updating to RC3, but that's also on Vista (but with Windows Firewall enabled).

    pilehave,

thank you for the complete description of your environment.
The issue arrise because you have "configure windows firewall" -> API looking for the firewall will return true ( as you have a firewall ) -> C# throws an exception because it's not able to configure windows built-in firewall.

    Simone
