I code since I can remember. Started a bit Basic on the Video Genie, later Pascal on a CP/M Machine called "Osbourne". (Still got that machine :) ). osbourne.jpg (yep. That tiny thing in the middle is the monitor... ;) I stayed quite a while using different Pascal Versions (Turbo Pascal, Quick Pascal). Then I made the wrong decision and changed to Visual Basic. Well it was damn simpel. It took quite a while until I was brave enough to change to C. To be honest: I had to, cause of my study, where C, C++ and C# nearly had to be learned in the same time. I finished Studiing 1.5 years ago and are now a C# Developer where my main topics are GUI-Related (actually I'm fighting with XAML), Database-Stuff, and Client-Server Programs. I'm also proud of having my .NET Program run on Linux via Mono ;) (including Windows Forms and ASP an Apache :) ) The last big private project was a GUI for my MAME-Machine:123 So. I am 33 which is damn old :) but perhaps some of you expected me to be older reading my "computer history". Actually I'm waiting for my HTPC to arrive and thats why I had time to think about what I am missing in MediaPortal. Mostly: ICQ. So I started developing a bit and it seems to work quite well. Connecting, Receiving, Sending: All working fine, but without any GUI Stuff. When/If I ever finish the ICQ-Stuff I thought about a google earth-plugin. Since I already included that stuff with automatic waypoints on my website: shouldnt be that difficult.
