Well I broke down and installed Windows 7 Ultimate so MP would run perfect with all features. (Had XP x64).
Now I am looking to buy a new tuner card. I have narrowed down my two choices to...
Diamond ATI Wonder HD 600 USB
or
Diamond ATI Wonder HD 600 PCIe
I am wondering if anyone has experience with either of these with RC1 and Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Or if you guys can suggest a good card/usb for me for that setup in the 30-40 dollar range.
My setup is Gigabyte MB, AMD Phenom X4 II 940, 8gb 800mhx DDR2, Onboard video ATI 3300HD, PCIe Video ATI 4450HD (HDMI out). 3TB of HD space. Running 22" Wide as main desktop, 17" lcd as extended desktop, 37" Vizio LCD as MP Main display. I also have Charter HD Cable to connect to it. I am looking to buy tonight, so anyone with info please let me know.
Would you go with USB or PCIe?
Pros and Cons
AMD-ATI drivers page shows Windows 7 x64 drivers for the PCIe card, but not the USB.
USB comes with an HD Antenna meaning I can run it on my laptop when I am out of town as well as my MP desktop.
PCIe is more dedicated and probably integrates well with my other video drivers.
USB is nice to move around, disconnect if needed.
Any help here would rule, if you are using either of these Tuners please give me some feedback on which to choose.
I am sorry if this is the wrong section for this question.
Sincerely, Ryan
