Different directory when installing Mediaportal? (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I´m new in the forum and I was wondering if anyone has an idea
if it is possible to change the default directory of Mediaportal 1.0
during the installation? Usually it installs in C:\program files... but
I would like to install it on a different partition.

actually I would be really interested to know this too. It would be handy to retain all current data (covers, recording timings, "watched" data, etc) when restoring from disk image. What are the pros and cons? Anyone?

I figured it out! Just do the advanced installation
and then you can select the directories for
Media Portal and the TV-Server!!

Im a bit hesitant as I dont want to rock the boat if it introduces new issues to the install, but would really like a setup that will work with disk images if its not too problematic....

Can you let me know how you get on with it?

Hi again,

I have a few pictures of the installation wizard. It shows where you can choose a different directory:

Picture 1= Start of installation

Picture 2= Installation

Picture 3= Select "Perform an advanced installation" !!!

Picture 4= Choose the directory you want to install the SQL-Server in.
(In my case I chose the same directory that I will use for the
actual Media Portal)

Picture 5= Choose the directory you want to install Media Portal in.

NOTE: I installed everything (SQL-Server, TV-Server, Media Portal) in one directory on one partition.
