Different language for different series (1 Viewer)

Hi,

first of all: thanks for this plugin - I'm very happy with it.

But...

There seems to be a problem (or feature? ... or I'm not using it correctly) with the language setting.
Let me explain: I've set the import language for thetvdb.com to 'English'.
I've also got some German series on my hard disk, and thetvdb doesn't offer summaries in English, therefore the plugin shows 'no summary available'.

Is there any option that allows me to import the German summary when...
a) no English summary is available
b) I choose a different language setting for any series

thanks for the answer.

Probably not all of the German series are of interest to a worldwide audience...

Therefore I would like to add a feature request:
- Keep the 'standard language' for the thetvb.com import...
- ...but allow a different language setting for individual series

I set import language for thetvdb.com to 'German", so when german is avaialabe, german is shown, otherwise it's set to english. Why don't you do it that way?

I've found a solution that is not too bad:

In the config screen for the thetvdb.com import settings, you choose a general import language, e.g. English.
So, normally, there's nothing to worry about.

Now, if you would like to have summaries in German for some selected series, run the config, select German, choose "Update media info" for some selected series (the others aren't changed), switch back to English and run MP.

...But obviously, it would be better if you could choose a default language for every series that you have.

Love the plugin. Thanks for all the hard work there!

I'm having the same issue - some of my shows are in Russian and while the data sort of gets downloaded, I don't get episode names, as well as banners, only posters (from thetvdb.com). So it seems like the plugin gets the show and the season/episode number data, but just doesn't store/display anything but English there.

Any chances of this being changed/fixed? Even if the plugin cannot get other language episode names, is it possible to deal with getting/displaying series banners? As an example, the following 3 series have wide banners, but they are not downloaded/displayed by TVSeries:
