Difficulties playing movies (1 Viewer)

Hello everyone,

I have WMP 11, with ffdshow tryout beta 6 installed and Matroska Haali Media Splitter, I can view all of my movies on WMP but I can't seem to be able to watch them on Media Portal, it shows all black.

My computer is pretty capable of doing it, specs:

Core i7 920
3GB RAM
2TB HD
ATI HD4870 1GB DDR5
Windows Vista Business x64
Media Portal V1.0
TV Server not installed


I have tried configuring Media Portal to use ffdshow as decoder but I can't really seem to be able to see anything, but I can hear.

When I change the Aspect Ratio to original it shows the image, although pretty small, it works. The other aspect ratios don't really work, it appears a black screen as stated before.

Would be glad if anyone could help.

UPDATE: By updating to the latest version on SVN + compiling it worked for me. Fixed my problems.

I'm sorry, I didn't know there was an option to show the specs, but I had them filled.

Update: Attached the log files, hope anyone can figure this out.

I am having this exact same problem, black screen on all aspect ratios but original. Original ratio shows up very small.

Everything worked fine until I upgraded from my Nvidia 8800GT to my ATI 4890, other than that no other changes.

I will upgrade as stated above and report back.


As above installing the Alpha and latest SVN fixed the problem.
