Hi,
I have connected the Sound Blaster Live (original version 4.0) to my A/V receiver (Denon AVR1705) via the digital connection and the ordinary speaker output from the sound card to the sound input of my TV.
If I setup sound driver in MP to decode sound to 2.0 I get the sound out of the TV, however no sound at all on the digial connection. If I check the "digital output only" in the sound driver (Mixer -> Advanced) I do get Dolby Digital 5.1 sound for the films that have that kind of audio, and for all other types of sound (incl. MP3) there is only sound in the right channel on the A/V receiver.
What I want to archive is, that there is always sound on the digital output as well as on the speaker output on the sound card. Is this possible with the current sound card? If not, what kind of sound card is needed (anyone have this kind of setup running?)?
Best regards
Jesper
