Like what guys? I never said I could not tune ATSC channels, in fact, I was trying to address the OPs issue about QAM. Specifically I stated: "I was scanning channels there was language/options for QAM on the window..." I can scan ATSC channels just fine. As far as QAM goes, Wikipedia says:
In North American digital video, a QAM tuner is a device present in some digital televisions and similar devices which enables direct reception of digital cable channels without the use of a set-top box.[2] An integrated QAM tuner allows the free reception of unscrambled digital programming sent "in the clear" by cable providers, usually local broadcast stations cable radio channels... OK, maybe the difference is in the driver between the internal (PCI or PCIe) versus USB interface. I did go to the AMD (ATi) site and download a newer version... In the MP 1.0.2 Server application I see my other PCIe tuners as well as two more - one is an ATI Digital something and the other an ATI Stream Analog tuner... Once there I have no issue scanning channels - be sure to associate them in the TV Channels section (lower down the tree) to a tuner card or you'll not see them inside MP. One way to verify the tuner is working is by the PreView button under TV Channels - if the Server Application can't tune them then you aren't finished configuring something.
