Dim the GUI (1 Viewer)

As I now realise - the skins are rendered via DirectX which should make this request possible.

To avoid burn in, can it be possible to reduce the brightness of the GUI, without affecting any videos / tv playing or being previewed?

There should perhaps be 10 settings (1 - 10). 10 Being how things are currently, and 1 being almost black.
