DirectX error asus2600xt (1 Viewer)

I've been trying to get my new Asus Radeon x2600xt(gddr3 version/pci-e), with two new installations of winxp sp2 + all updates from winupdate, but all that happens is that i get a error message right after MP boot-screen says 'init directx', and something about software device getting dx to run slower.

I know there is some troubles with me trying to start 3dmark, pc freezes and reboots, still games does work.

My mobo did not have any problems with different gfx card(gf8800gts and x1950pro).

My setup in sw and hw.

Winxp pro sp2 + all updates
MP server version + latest svn MP
directx 'june'
Catalyst 7.7 - full install
gfx: Asus Radeon x2600xt gddr3
Mobo: Asus a8n-sli premium
sound: Auzentech dd-live card

Anyone have any ideas?

NP - I hope you find your "bug" - I don't know if I hope it is this, though....

I've already contacted reseller for an RMA, but as i read on AMD states they will give a SW update, maybe through CCC or a bios upgrade?!
I do wonder if the problem is related to the fact my x2600xt claims to have 512MB of Hypermemory - was actually the first thing i noticed after my first install of this card.

Now, if anyone with a working x2600 XT card(800/700) gddr3 samsung ram, would be so kind dump their bios for me?! =)
