disable myplugin in menu, myplugin duplicate error (1 Viewer)

Hi

I see always myplugin element in my MP menu, this menu option is empty, i use nothing from myplugin, but I can see. I see nothing in configuration/plugins disable this menu element.

You need to go to the configuration of the HOME plugin, there you can customise the way the home menu operates.

Some of these features are a little tricky though and may take some tweaking.

I had EXACTLY the same experience....confusing!

The Menu and the implementation of Myprograms is WEIRD!

Couldt get it to Show at all, then i changed to custom menu and messed at little in the menu, and now it shows in the Home-screen.

But it took me 30 minutes to fuigure it out - Not logical in my opinion....Waaaaaay to annoying.

Furthermore the Drag & drop function does not work properly in Custum menu.

When you drag a item, it duplicates itselfs multiples times.........ARGH!

Why can we simple disable this menu element and what is this duplicate effect?

Just to get everything clear.

The problem happens when you drag a item under the "menu structure" in the Home configuration(Plugin section).

Now 3 have reported this as a BUG......Anyone else

Who should this be reported to?

It is known since ages that this part is more than buggy. Problem is, the dev who perpetrated this thingy lost his interest and left the dump in our code. Next problem is: I would love to remove it (like I did with some of his other unfinished plugins) and offer it as a download, but it's too much tied to the Home screen, so there is no easy way to outsource it without taking away some features that came to the Home screen over the time. On the other hand there are no free developer ressources for fixing that "plugin" at the moment.

So don't expect a fix in near future, but it will be addressed for sure. No need to report anything else on that topic, it has to be completely rewritten. Sorry for those bad news.

Thx for the quick reply, but sad to hear that its not to be solved in the near future.

But i can only agree on, that the whole plugin/home setup is confusing and has a big lack of userbility and easiness.

Hope to see a new version in the future.........

Having spent 3 hours yesterday trying to understand some logic, and get a renamed plugin working under a menu element
(and getting 40+ duplicates) i almost tossed my 'puter
out the window (or mp anyway).

but.. I am a c# programmer myself and could be willing to do a little
bug-squashing or repair work so I'm downloading the code from
svn at the moment.

don't hold your breath though... i installed mp yesterday, and have a lot at work all june

Any help/tips/docs I need getting started debugging this plugin would also be appreciated.
