Synopsis:: -

Hello,
I've been a happy MP user for over a year now, but I can't get MP2.0 to work properly. Install and configuration all went ok, but when playing tv, the image freezes after a minute or so of playback. It's not a full lockup, the pc still responds to the keyboard, it's just the screen that's not updated. In general, I can get back to a normal state by closing MP with Alt-F4, putting the pc in standby and waking it up again. From the log what strikes me most is "No signal detected". This is not a hardware type of problem, because my tv card performed ok while running MP versions RC2 and before. I also saw: error message "switching to reference rasterizer", setup application locking up, sudden pc reset and other unstable behaviour. The little animation of the MP logo runs jerky, but CPU usage is normal.

I'll try to upload the log as well. I'm also going to try to reinstall my RC2 backup to see if the unstable behaviour disppears.

Hope someone give me some pointers as to what I need to check.

Thanks,

Count Filipp

In case someone stumbles upon this thread:
Looks like updating the video card driver did the trick.
There's a Video Card Driver: 9.3.7.1 available for NVidia cards
