Display not turning off when video is over (1 Viewer)

Ever since I upgraded MP the display doesn't turn off when the video is finished.
Windows will turn off the display if MP is not running, My computer eats about 300 watts and so does the TV.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.


I did do an extensive search so I apologize if I missed the answer somewhere.

Running Windows 7, MP 1.05

Not sure this may help, but the sleeptimer plugin is most probably my most used goodie

My TV does that, I never remember to activate it. I always fall a sleep watching TV and wake with The TV still on and MP still running. Before this release after whatever I was watching was over the monitor simply turned off.
It's in the general settings just doesn't work.

Which version of MP are you using, 10.2 does not work with Win7, 1.1alpha does to some extent, but is still work in progress and can be updated via the svn thread.

I am using 1.02. (sorry, thought it was 1.05) I did try vista and the display stayed on with that also.
I will try the Alpha, maybe I can getaway with that.... I only use it for video anyway.

If you are using MP only for video etc, then windows own settings for blank screen\standby may work fine, not tried myself but should work, as long as all powerscheduler plugins are disabled, networked drives again no experience with the above scenario.

SOLVED! I updated to the 1.1 Alpha and now my TV sleeps and wakes when I do.
