Do i need SQL or not? (1 Viewer)

Hi Guys.

I have just installed SQl 2008 Express and Media Portal. Everything seems to be running fine but when i look in SQL i dont see any new databases.

So do i need SQL? if not can i uninstall it? I am not using it for TV , just videos and music etc

Well only that its installed and not being used. If i dont need then i would like to remove it. But if i do need it for something then its fine to keep it on

AFAIK only the TV server needs a Database-Server. To be sure, you could simply shutdown or disable the "SQLSERVER" Service in the services panel (run services.msc). If everything works fine you can uninstall it.
