Do I want V1.0.2 or V1.1 Alpha (1 Viewer)

Hi,

First post on this site.

I have just put together my first HTPC. I am currently putting XP SP3, 32bit on it.

I have chosen to go with MediaPortal over Meedios, XMBC and VMC.

Which version is it that i want to download?

I would like to have the latest and newest, but being new to the site im unsure on how the Alpha is doing, and if the advantages outweigh the bugs that will be present in it.

General thumb of rule is that the 1.1 ALPHA is not meant to be used on a productive system, so you should use 1.0.2.

1.1 does contain many "goodies" and has been reported to work and perform quite well, especially with later SVN's. The RC for 1.1. is scheduled to be released the 28. this month.

In the end, it is your choice, but you have been warned

if u are new to mediaportal, i would recommend you start with 1.0.2 that way you will enjoy a stable system from the beginning. once 1.1.0rc is out maybe you have got to know all the potential of mediaportal and can give it a try.

Thanks for the advice. Think ill stick with the stable version for now.
