Do not show unavailable movies (1 Viewer)

Hi, is it possible to _NOT_ show the movies which are not available cause they are in a removable media or in a network?

the situation is i have a laptop and when i am home i connect to the local network and all movies appear available (in white letters), however if i am out of home and want to watch a movie i get a full list of movies i CANT watch and need to browse through them till i find some available media.


can this be solved? is it possible?

if not, will it be possible in future releases?

cause right now i have to play with 2 database files, one when i am home, and another with i am not connected to local network

Unfortunately there is no filter that can remove unavailable files from your category. You could however setup a filter by Import Path where you can enable to filter out movies on a network drive when you are on the road.

e.g.

FullPath 'does not begin with' '\\'

or you can use the MediaLabel instead.

thanks, thats a workaround, although i think my suggestion could be a nice improvement and should be that difficult to implement.

I know this is an old thread, but I've just started using Moving Pictures and this issue is a big thorn in its side. I use removeable drives as well as internal and would love a way to only show what's available. Going through a couple of menus to change filters using a remote is not really family friendly everytime anyone turns the PVR on.

Is there anyway to set the default view from outside MediaPortal config? That way I could just run a script on PC startup to setview depending on locations available.

You can select a filter to have applied automatically on launch. Unless you did something clever and edited the sqlite database directly though I am not sure this would help.

Will try to get online/offline status in the filtering system in the near future.
