Does FFDShow allow my nv 6150 to use its purevideo features? (1 Viewer)

Ive had some conflicting info here, I use ffdshow as my decoder for nearly all formats except mpeg2 and h264 what id like to know is if ffdshow can make use of the purevideo deinterlacing etc supported on my 6150 ( I am talking about the purevideo featuresets use in avi mkv etc rather than the mpeg2 decoder) I saw someone mention that ffdshow disables hardware acceleration but i was not sure if this was just refering to mpeg.

Nvidia have been quite clever money wise, as you need the Nvidia purevideo decoder to take advantage of these features.
So FFDShow does not use the hardware on the graphics card it is purely a software decoder.

I was under the impression that the purevideo decoder that you purchase is Nvidia's mpeg2 decoder. The featureset of the card is also refered to as purevideo and this includes acceleration of wmv9 hd and de-interlacing etc of other sources. This featureset is part of the cards drivers rather than a seperate decoder but I am unsure as to wether ffdshow can make use of these features. (I do also use the purevideo mpeg2 decoder for dvd)

I thought those were just the support partners for h264 hi def acceleration? The purevideo feature comparrision lists lots of low def bits and pieces too.
