Hello. I have 2 questionS, i hope you guy can help.

I have a collection of karaoke in vob and mkv format. I was wonder if i can use mediaportal as a karaoke player.

Karaoke player need these basic functions.

1. Let me assign an id number to a file and save that database (xml file maybe)
2. Let me search fo a song thru the id number or thru file name and add it to a dynamic playlist
3. Let me change the audio stream of the file.

To get a better understanding of what i am looking you guy can google for tkaraoke.

So does mediaportal have this feature? Or is it possible to get this feature thru plugins/addons?

Thanks

    Hi,

Currently there is no out of the box karaoke player solution. What you could do is name the files according to the ids (so id_Name) and browse through them in my Videos. My Videos can handle VOB & MKV and can also change audio streams, so that should be a go.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully mediaportal2 will have this feature. Crossing my fingers :)
This is the first thread I've read about someone asking for 'karaoke support' so I highly doubt MP2 will support this out of the box.

However, with MP2 there is far greater scope for someone to write a plugin to handle this, something that could probably be done for MP1.1 as well.

This feature can be useful for watching movie or listen to music also.
