MCE finds all the local stations, but MP does not.
I just installed 1.6.0 for the first time I have never used it.
Haugpauge WinTV-HVR-2250
US, OTA via a Terk powered antenna.
Windows 8 x64

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Eric[DOUBLEPOST=1388606823][/DOUBLEPOST]Sorry, almost forgot the logs.

    Hello and welcome Eric :)

Can you please tell us your zip code (so we can look up your lineup) and give an example of a channel that you're missing.

    Thanks,
    mm

Okay, so based on the zap2it lineup:
    http://tvlistings.zap2it.com/tvlist...Preference=false&lineupId=PC:48336&aid=zap2it

...there do indeed appear to be a fair few channels missing.

This is a bit of a mystery because I see you've done a complete scan, and TV Server seems to be consistent with the channels it is finding or not finding.

You're not attempting to use WMC and MP/TV Server simultaneously are you?
Some of the entries in your log files suggest you might be...

I have MCE running on it, but I am just trying out this software. It is not taping any shows today so nothing is using the tuners.

This by itself is probably not a problem.

If that is the case, why am I seeing these messages?

Maybe it is a bug. But I do want to find a MCE replacement to see if something is better. If nothing is solved in the near future I will give XMBC (sp) a try.

The chances of a bug in that particular code are extraordinarily low.

Understood. I note that XBMC doesn't natively support TV. It uses other TV software (including MediaPortal's TV Server) to get TV support.

If you're sure WMC (and any other TV software you might have installed like Hauppauge WinTV) is not interfering, the only other things I can suggest are:
    1. Ensure your antenna is receiving power (TV Server does not do anything to provide the power).
    2. See if you can figure out exactly how WMC is tuning one of the channels you're missing (in other words, find the frequency/physical channel number). I recall a similarly strange problem in the past where somebody was receiving digital OTA TV via interference on an RF analog connection from an STB. The chances are slim, but is it possible you could be receiving channels via interference from a cable connection? The easiest way to check this would be to do a clear QAM scan with the QAM standard frequency plan.

    hi there

have you tried disabling WMC services

this can be achieved by going in to TV server config, additional 3rd party checks and then select the first iem to disable (you can re-enable after testing)
this way you should be able to rule out WMC holding onto the tuner
