Powerscheduler looks for record times, usually from EPG which links to TV card.
I take it if you enter TV, it comes up with a message like "no TV card found", this is where you may not be able to test this side of things.
The best way around is to use the alarm plugin, and set a short time ahead, ie 15 minutes, and then use powerscheduler to put into standby/hibernate.
This should test whether you can successfully go in and out of standby/hibernation.
If this is a way of choosing a TV card, then try to stick with PCI/PCI-e cards, as ALL usb cards have some driver difficulties with MediaPortal after resume (pvr-scheduler gets around some of them) but if you just want MP running stick to internal cards (non usb).
Hi,
If you have scheduled a WebEPG grab it should work without a tuner card installed (it coud give errors after the grab, that i dunno since i havn't tested it).
My Alarm plugin still have some minor issues (still testing/adding to Mantis) with repeatable tasks, but wake up once to play a internet stream should work ok.
My expreriences is that PowerScheduler has difficulties while no EPG is present. I have no internet connection at home (sounds strange to you... yes, there are such areas...) and it makes big troubles to PowerScheduler and scheduled recordings.
However, this whole staff is great!
@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help!
EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...

It was worth trying anyway.

If you use a VPN connection to your home network, you should be able to use the MP client to connect to your server natively instead of using MPExtended.
