Hi,
I am using the IR Server Suite with MP and other applications, launched in My Programs. I have configured the Translator for my Slingplayer. When I configure the buttons to control the Slingplayer, if there are system buttons configured the result is that the button is pressed twice. For ex. if I push 6, '66' is the result. This happens even if I select 'Ignore System wide mappings'. I can just leave those buttons out of my config.
However, the 'OK' button is system set to 'Enter', and if I set my config to 'Space', I get both as a result.
Is there any way to disable, or change the System setting, so it is actually disabled ?
I have the default windows driver installed for the MCE remote and the hardware is 1039.
1.0.4.2 of IR Server Suite is installed.

Thanks
Rick

Open the Input Service Configuration and configure the Microsoft MCE component, put a check in the box for Disable Automatic Buttons.

It sounds like you are experiencing your mappings plus the operating systems built in mappings, by changing that setting and rebooting you should be right.

I'll double check on my end that Translator is behaving properly, but this is the first I've heard of system-wide mappings not being ignored when the option is set.

    Cheers,

Thanks. It was already set with a check there.
    It was not obeyed.
I just left off the buttons in my new mapping, if a system wide button worked.
It would be better if I could configure the buttons in the app setting instead and disable the system wide buttons.

    Regards,
    Rick

For some strange reason, my arrow and Ok buttons will not work in MP.
I have now removed IR suite, and these buttons will still not work in MP.
Other buttons like channel, vol, guide, buttons all work.
    What has happened?

    Thanks,
    Rick

You can copy the settings from another mapping. For example you can copy the mappings from system-wide into your app mappings by right clicking and selecting "copy from" and then the settings to copy.

It sounds like you need to re-instate the registry keys that the IR Server Suite removed. The easiest way to do this is to just remove the mce remote from device manager and let it be re-detected.

    Cheers,

PS. Also, If you had removed the settings from IR Server Suite before you uninstalled it you would have been ok.
