I now have 2 HTPCs, one in the main living room keeping my Samsung 52" company (at 1080p), and another one in the bedroom with a 32" that only supports 720p. All my media is on a shared media server. Everything on a gigabit network.

Heres my question. All my media is in 1080p resolution, but the 2nd TV wont take 1080 as input. Can I somehow downconvert/downsize the 1080p files while playing it on the 2nd TV, or do I need to maintain two copies of every movie?

Thank you in advance for any thoughts -

MediaPortal / GPU will handle the scaling automatically, so no need to have multiple copies of the movies.

Yep, I also watch everything at 720P so also 1080P movies.. Just set your HDMI output on 720P in your Graphics card driver software, and the Graphics card will take care of the down/upscaling. Works very well with my ATI HD4650 card.
