Hi, it has been discussed in another thread already but I'm having problems with DTS passthrough.

Firstly I must say that all is working fine in Windows Media center and media player.
I'm using ffdshow for the passthrough ( tryouts beta 4 ).
It seems some signal is sent to the receiver as the receiver is flipping out and switches between dd and dts all the time, but no sound is to be heard. ac3 works fine.
I have attached logfile.
What I did during the logging period: Open media portal, browse to the file, open the file( the problem happened ), stopped playback and closed media portal.

MediaPortal Version: Latest svn ( but problem is 0.2.3 and up)
MediaPortal Skin: Blue two wide
Windows Version: Vista Ultimate 32 bit
CPU Type: E6300
HDD: WD 400GB
Memory: 2GB Kingston valueram
Motherboard: Asus microatx
Video Card: Asus 8500GT silent
Video Card Driver: Latest Nvidia
Sound Card: On motherboard (HD audio)
Sound Card AC3: Same
MPEG2 Video Codec: ffdshow
MPEG2 Audio Codec: ffdshow
HTPC Case: Antec Fusion
Cooling: Air
Power Supply: Came with case ( antec 450W)
Remote: MS
TV - HTPC Connection: DVI->HDMI

    Hi,
Your mediaportal.log(which is the most important) it's not in the zip, could you attach that too after the issue has occurred?

    Regards

Just did another debug run and got the a new zip file but again it doesn not contain the mediaportal.log.
Can you tell me where to find that?

    Hi,
In Vista it should be in %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log

    Hi,
Hmmm, so if you in run box paste this line "%ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\log\mediaportal.log" nothing happens?

    Regards

I get an error message but other then that nothing happens.

But I just stumbled upon a solution, I changed the audio renderer from default directsound to another one ( some HD audio one) and it works. Still het a vmr9 log telling me lot's of frames are late but I don't think that's a mediaportal problem.
