Hello there. im new here. I have a small problem which i hope somone can resolve. I am using the latest version of mediaportal and I have successfully set it up on my 2nd monitor. The only problem i have is when i want to do something on my primary monitor, mediaportal minimises to the tray. Is there a way or running it on my 2nd monitor while using my pc normally on my first?

sorry to drone on

    Hi,

I do this on Vista and have done on XP.

On XP I used the nforce extras to set up the small screen as where my taskbar etc were but it just works out of the box with Vista.

Maybe your system specs may help someone else to answer your question.

go into MP configuration and on the general list i think you check or uncheck (opposite to what you currently have) the "Keep mediaportal on top" and I think that will do the trick. I had this problem a long time ago and I am sure that was the fix.

spec is: Amd phenom processor 9500 quad
    4gb ram
    nvidia 9800gt graphics
    running vista home premium
    latest full mp build

It will happen with any program i run in full screen. I selected "always on top" but didnt seem to have any effect as soon as i click on something, it will just minimize, its driving me crazy lol.

Is your renderer perhaps set on VMR9?

Only EVR should be used under Vista and Aero should be enabled.
